if you are retired, and you must use a blower, clear your driveway well after people have gone to work.

call of duty 4...

i'm not sure which is worse, the fact that i'm approaching the age of 40, or that i still like to play video games on my xbox 360. i guess the fact that you get older does not necessarily mean you get more mature, but...i have become somewhat addicted to call of duty 4. i am admittedly not much of an online gamer, in that i've always preferred to play against the games a.i., but i have recently become aware of the powerful draw of playing the multiplayer version of c.o.d. on xboxlive. to make it worse, i've never really been into the first person shooter stuff and i usually find myself completely outmatched in terms of experience, weaponry, and yes skill. the game rewards you for playing more, racking up kills thereby increasing your firepower but it can be rough for newbies like myself to get started. i'm sure it's a phase as baseball season is just around the corner but the online experience, not to mention the graphics of this game are out of this world. so far i have lost over 200 virtual lives, taken 40-something, and lost many hours of potential sleep. i may grow up someday but anytime soon? it's not looking good.

here is my betrothed at our...betrothel? i never was really sure about that word. anyway, this pic was taken february 14th, 1992, (thats exactly 16 years ago for the math wizards). we were at a now defunct french restuarant in st. anthony main called "yvette's" which is where i decided to pop the proverbial question. i sort of enjoy posting pictures of a time when i was younger, thinnner, and hipper. digging on the suspenders.

gearing up for mlb2k8

thats right, as spring nears so does the release of ea sports mlb2k8. they finally released an official video today, (see below). can't wait to get my hands on this and start playing the only real sport that matters :-). also, a demo is scheduled any day now so i'll get a sneak peak soon. official release date is still slated for early march, coincedentally, right around the time of my birthday.
