plain white tee's...

daughter got to attend the epic marathon 5 hour twins game yesterday with a friend. apparently they had excellent seats in the posh legend's club. to top off the day, hometown hero joe mauer scored the winning run in the 11th. may have another baseball rube in the family. the baseball does not fall far from the fielder's glove. tried to make a baseball analogy there but i was way off base...came out of right field.

last meaningless post...

just seeing if anyone checks this blog anymore?...things have been busy. potential blog posts have been skipped or forgotten. over the years i've had my share of bland posts here. perceived obligation has prompted weak content, even by my sub par standards. that changes now. you may have noticed in recent months that i've changed the criteria for blog posts from semi-meaningless and meaningless, to semi-meaningful and meaningful (see above - no, not really). of course the downside is, (or upside, depending on the point of view) less posts. as such, look for only the bigger, more relevant stories here. i have relegated my twitter account to be my new forum for stray, and random thoughts that still need expression.

happy 13th lainie!

it's almost incomprehensible that my little lainie is now officially a "teen". i knew this day would come but i have to say, it snuck up on me quicker than expected. it has been such a blessing to watch her grow up, mature, and see her turn into this wonderful young person, right before my eyes. so, the happiest of birthdays to the original birthday girl of the family!
