st louis vacation 2011...

above are some pics from our recent trip to st. louis. the images have lost some resolution in the slide show, particularly when viewed in full-screen, but it does contain a snappy show tune from "tom sawyer", the musical. i also have a 33 minute multi-media presentation with even more pictures and video created in idvd that you have to be related to me to even want to see. this gives you a good idea of what we saw and did. had a great time in st. louis!

i know what i did this summer...

tonight marks the end of a busy sports season. alaina played st. anthony travelling soccer, noelle played softball for arden hills, and owen played coach pitch baseball and soccer for new brighton.
it was a hectic schedule but i wouldn't change it for the world. there's nothing better than watching or coaching your kid's play sports. now, what to do with all my new found free time?!

end of year parent-daughter softball game...

my daughter convinced me to dust off the cleats and play in her teams end of the year parent-daughter game. the men had to hit a 16" "kitten ball" while the gals and daughters hit a regulation softball. in this clip, my daughter is playing 1st base. i hit a 2 out bomb over the the left fielders head. boom- triple. notice the speed, especially from first to third - haven't lost a step! oh, and by the way, thanks for stranding me at third somebody's mom!
