i think many people at some point in their professional careers think about what it would be like to get a fresh start somewhere else. there's the "grass is always greener" syndrome that you can buy into in which you you convince yourself that you have it far worse than others who do the same job type as you. i think that can be a dangerouse road to go down, because there are never any guarantees. it has not been a secret that i have been researching other employment opportunities for the past 6-9 months. i have even gotten so far as having gone through some interviews. i think it's important to at least be aware of other career opportunities but actively looking is almost a full-time job in and of itself. my job is sort of changing and evolving, for the better - i think, and this has changed the way i view my current role, as well as my career path. i think with the way things are looking at this point, i am going to phase-out the "actively looking part" and just go back to the "being aware of other career opportunities" mode. i think you should never sell yourself short, and always be open for change, but at some point you have to move forward and focus on the here and now. more soon.
