here's a timelapse of photos taken in my backyard between 10 am and 4 pm yesterday. surprisingly (not) it didn't quite live up to the perfect storm that the local news media had built it up as, but as far as first snows go, especially compared to recent years, it was a decent dumping and sort of validates the christmas music playing in every room of the house. unofficially, i'd say somewhere between 4"-6" collected on my driveway. after about 12 pulls the snowblower fired up and got its first use of the season. weather forcasters are calling for more flakes this week. time to stock up on bottled water and generators.
