we are mourning the loss of our beloved cat roxy today. she has been with me since my single days, lived in at least 6 different houses, and has been around every day of my kid's lives. i won't try to pretend it is the same as losing an actual family member but anyone who has endured the loss of a pet knows it's a profound loss and a real grieving period. the fact is, they are part of the family, blood relative or not. roxy enjoyed a long life and her health had began to fade recently. she never met a person or a warm lap she didn't like and if you ever scratched her behind the ears you had a friend for life. good bye roxy, you are missed!

We know what it is like! You are all on our hearts. We will miss Roxy too. We agree with you that pets become loving members of our familys. This is such a great picture of her.
skip and fam...so sorry for your loss...it can be rough. we still have many fond (and some not quite so fond) of Sheba.
It seems Roxy had a long life but it could have never been long enough for a cat as special as she was...because SHE was!I will never forget how she would take it upon herself to find a home in your lap she just knew she was welcome and of course she always was..Its true she was a cool cat and not all cats are cool..I miss your furry little gray face already rox but I will never forget you I know we all won't.
